Active TB case finding in hard to reach communities with poor access to diagnostic services through community outreach workers – trained lay people – capable of screening and collecting sputum samples from communities. The project also worked on improved diagnostics including Xpert MTB/RIF, liquid culture and chest X-ray and focused on children in communities.
